Misty D. Becker: In a custody case -

- we try to make the cases as smooth and easygoing as possible, especially for the children. Because the easier it is for the children and for the parents to get along, the better their relationship is after the divorce or the custody hearing, or the case is final. In a child custody case, the Becker Law Firm will represent parents, mother, the father, grandparents, or any custodian that has had custody of the child prior to any case going to court. The common areas that the parties are trying to agree on between any type of a custody case is usually where the children are gonna to be staying, who they're gonna primary reside with, and what type of child support and how the child support is going to be paid.
Most parties don't prefer to have the case actually go to litigation with regard to the custody, but sometimes it's very unavoidable. And it does become very expensive with regard to hiring experts, with regard to hiring a guardian ad litem who looks after the best interest of the children, which it is their own attorney. And even though we don't like for it to get that far, especially when children are involved, it is something that I'm ready to take all the way to the judge -

- and let the judge decide on what needs to happen with regard to the children.
